Working Out of Town
Since November of '06, I've been working out of town, (I live in W. Houston, Katy, Tx) in Orange, Texas, on Interstate 10 almost at the Texas/Louisiana state line.
It's at a nature preserve called the Sh
angri La Botanical Gardens and my company is constructing 'rustic' classrooms and lecture halls. No kidding, these buildings are going to house school children on field trips studying nature and habitats.
What a jobsite, too, I must say. The Shangri La butts against a bayou and several acres are underwater most times of the year as a swamp. I saw a cypress tree today(there are only thousands of them growing here), this one was reportedly 'several hundred years old' and many feet around the base.
